Report says OpenAI is building an internal energy desk as power becomes a core strategy

Capacity reports that OpenAI is hiring power-trading and clean-energy specialists, moving energy procurement into its internal compute-expansion capability. OpenAI's public compute-strategy roles cover energy, real estate, colocation, cloud, silicon and infrastructure finance, but the company has not formally disclosed the desk's size, trading mandate or signed contracts.
