Mubadala is reported to be considering an investment in Bitgrit and S2's 500 MW Akita data-center project

Data Center Dynamics reported on August 19 that UAE-based Mubadala is considering an investment in a 500 MW Bitgrit and S2 data-center project in Akita, Japan, and that a smaller 1.5 MW deployment is expected next year. The report describes a considered investment; no matching public confirmation was located from Mubadala, Bitgrit, S2 or a local authority for an investment, binding agreement, land, power, permits, customers or delivery timing. The 500 MW is therefore only the proposed-project scale in one report, not financed, secured-power, under-construction or available capacity.
